new york times

An empire state of mind.

Not only does this couple have a talent and a good eye for design but they are amazing people. Extremely caring couple with hearts as big as Texas.

The groom is a gifted architect and the bride is a unique interior designer. And together they created a beautiful wedding day with a personality all it’s own and  days later a big career move to New York City!! Yes, believed it or not they planned a wedding…lived, laughed and loved…and then moved to New York to accomplish their dreams. So exciting!! I feel very fortunate to be apart of and help create their memorable wedding day!

Thank you Melissa and Jason! Some day we will all see your name in lights!

It is a fun idea to do “day after” pictures with your photographer. Melissa and Jason went out to White Rock Lake the day after the wedding with their photographer Sarah Kate and got really good pictures. I love the idea and would highly recommend it to most! The last three pictures posted are the “day after” pictures. Great job Sarah Kate!!!

I love this wedding! I love the color, I love the bride, the groom and the pretty sunny day that it came with. It helps that the wedding was at a great venue, Hickory Street Annex…you can’t go wrong there.

What I like about the venue is that you can go miami modern or simple vintage chic. This couple took the color green an ran with it. “How can you not like the color green” said the bride…I agree.

I am so glad that Natalie and Michael wanted an outdoor wedding at Hickory Street Annex. They really got lucky with the blooming Oleander, it was perfect timing. From the beginning to the end it has been a fun and creative ride! Thank you to Natalie and Tracy!
